I'm back!!!!

Hello again! Sorry i've been absent so long. On top of being busy, for the last 3 months i've been contemplating the future of my blog. A blog expert visited my site, & advised that I really need to focus the topic of my blog--for instance, choose to write about knitting OR technology OR travel-- not all of them in the same week.

Quite frankly this threw me for a loop--if I write a blog about knitting, what happens on the days when people don't want to read about knitting, or aren't interested in knitting anymore? Most people I know are just like me, and have a wild diversity of interests that don't necessarily go together in a logical way. So, after a few months of thinking it over, I decided to buck the conventional wisdom. This will be a blog with a laser-like focus on whatever the hell happens to be of interest to me at the moment. Hope that it's interesting for you too.

Lots has happened since last time I wrote--where do I begin? I finished up my time caring for my mom after her surgery, and drove back to Oklahoma City right before Christmas. I had a beautiful trip stopping in Northern California, enjoying the beaches, redwoods and wine country. It made it all that much harder coming back to Oklahoma for another dreary winter.

The exciting news is, my days as a corporate software engineer are numbered! This Friday is my last day at the Corporate Deathstar (thanks to Pam Slim for the phrase, her blog Escape from Cubicle Nation was a huge help!). At the end of March i'm starting back to school to change careers. Tune in, the months to come are going to be QUITE entertaining! xoxo,
